Habotai or Habutai is one of the most basic plain weaves. Whilst it was traditionally woven in Japan, most Habotai today is woven in China. It is normally a lining silk but has many uses, such as lampshades, summer blouses or very light lingerie. It is also known as "Parachute Silk".
