With the Continental QuickView indicators, this tire will let you know by markings on its tread its capabilities. When new, you will clearly see a DWS on your tread. This means the tire is suited for Snow, Wet and Dry. As the tread wears out, the S will disappear, indicating the tire is no longer suited for snow. The W will wear out as the tread life diminishes to only dry conditions performances. When you can not see any indicators on the tread, the tire is then completely worn, and this will let you know you need to change the tires!
