ATOMIC MODERN HOT ROD DRAG RACE BRASS TROPHY FIBERGLASS SAUCER TABLE LAMP 1950'S GRETA GROSSMAN

• DESIGN:  A very stylish and dynamic completely original Atomic Modern table/desk Hot Rod Drag Racing Trophy Lamp design in the manner of Greta Grossmans reflector designs circa 1950.  Manufactured of brass plated metal, fiberglass and Teak wood base, all very well engineered and machined. The large saucer shaped shade can articulate slightly fore & aft via the shade harp assembly connection which reflects light eminating from the  matt fiberglass bullet shade. In my many decades of collection I have never seen a trophy lamp like this with its' stunning contrast of subject matter, atomic shapes, materials and finishes makes this a truly rare example that you will not see again!

• CONDITION:  This striking lamp is in exceptional original condition, completely intact and fully functional. Just very faint signs of wear/age with no damage or repair issues aside from surface marks and natural age tarnish patina to the Teak base w/nameplate which is embossed "DES MOINES DRAGWAY" with cool dragster graphic. The polished Brass race car trophy is blemish free, while the fiberglass lamp diffuser shades are very clean and without issue.  Original wiring with inline power switch and socket have been inspected and appear to be clean, safe and fully functional.
