This is a rayon challis fabric that has a soft drape and is a mid weight fabric. This has a crinkle surface or pebble surface which is different than traditional smooth hand challis. This is from a major manufacturer of woman's clothing. It is a perfect fabric for summer and spring fashions and although it is a mid weight, the fabric will not require a lining. Challis are often used for flowing garments.
