enjoys magic effects and dramatic stories - The Gambler’s Watch gives
you both. Tell the fascinating tale of an old time gambler, Nick Scott,
using his red deck, blue deck and his pocket watch.
EFFECT:
- Have one spectator cut the
RED DECK and place the cut-to card face down on the table.
- With your back
turned, a second spectator thinks of an hour from 1 to 12 (say he or she chooses
9 o’clock) and removes that many card (9) from The BLUE DECK, which are
placed in the card case.
- From the
remainder of the BLUE DECK, you the magician then deal 12 cards face down on the table in the form of a clock face.
- With your back turned again, The second spectator peeks at the card in the
position/time thought of.
Now you….
- Correctly name the
cut-to card……….. The Nine of Spades
- Reveal that the card at
the 9 o’clock position is also the Nine of Spades!
- The card’s initials
(NS) are precisely the same as the legendary gambler’s……..Nick
Scott!
- Then when they think
they’ve seen it all – you mention that when the gambler died, his
watch stopped.
The spectator opens the cover on the pocket watch and it’s at the time
they JUST thought of …..9 O’CLOCK!.
