For sale is a fine Victorian early sterling bucket form sauce ladle with turned finial handle by Whiting.  The ladle is 8 1/8 inches long, with a 1 5/8 inch wide bowl, and weighs 37 grams.  It has a tapered bucket-form bowl with a three-prong handle attachment, a hexagonal stem and a multi-disk finial with knurled edges.  The piece has not been monogrammed.  It is marked “STERLING” on the stem and “38”, “STERLING” and the Whiting trademark on the bowl back.

Condition on the piece is fairly good.  There are some minor bends and normal wear from use.  A desirable piece of old Victorian silver!
