The Nikon FE2 also offered the World's First 1/250 of a second flash synchronization speed. This FE2 also features the titanium shutter with lighter, etched and modified honeycomb-pattern titanium shutter curtains. This new shutter not only provides shutter speeds to 1/4000 of a second, it greatly reduces shutter bounce which cases blurred images. This shutter technology was latter used for the Nikon FA and on the legendary Nikon FM2n. The Nikon FE2 is one of the very finest manual focus SLR cameras ever produced!

The Nikon FE2 is an advanced semi-professional, 35 mm film, single-lens reflex (SLR) camera that is loaded with features while placing the photographer in control.
This fine, black, FE2 camera body comes fully accessorized. Included are: a brilliant red, soft release button; locate the trigger faster and execute your shots faster and more smoothly!! A genuine, screw-in, Nikon PC Sync terminal cap. A pair (2) of black leather, camera body protectors, with tri-rings;on the camera strap lugs. *An original, "Nikon FE2 Instruction Manual"; 63 pages, gold cover, 5 inches X 7 inches in size, English only edition, beautifully illustrated. Printed January 1983 by Nippon Kogaku K.K. Excellent condition; flat and smooth, no markings, "dog ears", etc.
*A beautiful, Nikon dealer's full-color sales brochure titled: "Nikon FE2. The camera that advance photographers advance to." ; Printed 1984 by Nikon INC. USA, 19 pages, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".
* A very nice, NIKON Data Back MF-16 ~ 2nd Version, that bears serial number: 144579. The Data Back MF-16 was introduced in 1983 with the Nikon FE2. One of the significant updates that the Nikon FE2//FM/FM2(N) and the FM3A offered was internal contacts for the MF-16 data-back. (an external wired connection is required for the older, 1st Version Nikon MF-12 combinations. Both of these data backs can only imprint data within the visible area of the negative and have a very simple feature set. The Nikon MF-16 Data Back has its own battery, so it will work without any motor drive fitted to the camera. It will imprint year/month/day or day/hour/minute in the right upper corner of the film. For the Nikon FM-2, FE-2 and FA cameras this second version was introduced, having the same features but The MF-16 which operates without a cable connector has a direct electronic connection. You can ADJUST the Year/Month/Day up to 2100 A.D.; This leaves the Canon Data Back A in the dust which ran out with 1987. The NIKON Data Back MF-16 also can number pictures up to 2000. It comes with its original, "Nikon Data Back MF-16 Instruction Manual; 32 pages, 5 7/8" x 3 9/16" in size, printed February 1982 and two (2), common, working, 1.5 volt, LR-44 button cell batteries.
*A new/old stock, (still with unopened, original packaging), comfortable, 1 3/8" wide, "Nikon", NS-1 woven-web, adjustable camera strap. This strap has probably the most tasteful graphics of all of the many Nikon straps. It has a gray background with a thin red line running through it. The edges of the strap are bordered with narrow black lines. The "Nikon" logo is embroidered in with bold, bright, letters one time/centered. Slip resistant backing, black Polycarbonate buckles and strap retainers to prevent scratching the camera body. Double-stitched, black leather ends.
*A Nikon MC-10 Remote Trigger Shutter Release; the "10" indicate its length, 10 feet. It can be used on the Motor Drive MD-2, MD-3, MD-4, MD-15, and the included, MD-12. It offers remote control operation up to 3 meters (10 feet) away from the camera via a manual, trigger switch. The MC-10 is for use with the Nikon N70, FM2, FE2 & FM3A(with MD-12).
*A fast, Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 Ai normal lens that bears serial number:3959684. It was introduced in March, 1977.
*A Nikon L37c (UV) filter with its clam shell case and an original, Nikon filter data sheet.
*Its vintage, Nikon 52mm snap-on front lens cap and a Nikon LF-1 bayonet locking rear lens cap. * Its dedicated HS-1 snap-on type lens hood. t this lens hood is in shape!
* A beautiful, Nikon CF-29 black, leather lens case. This case not only accommodates most normal and moderate wide-angle lenses or possibly a mild tele (ie. 80mm to100mm) attached; it allows you to case the camera with a Nikon MD-12/MD-11` Motor Drive attached. This case will work with the FM, FE, FE2, FM2, FM2n and the FM3A, Nikon SLR camera models. It is a very nice example, it may have some very minor signs of shelf wear. This Nikon case has become hard to acquire in this nice shape!*A vintage brown, hard leather, "Nippon Kogaku ~ Tokyo" lens case. It shows minor signs of age, but it remains a solid, nice looking case.

This beautiful, black, Nikon FE2 SLR, its great Nikon Nikkor" lens, its boxed, MD-12 motor drive, the Nikon ML-1 remote and all of the other many included accessories are in EXCELLENT CONDITION optically, mechanically, electronically and cosmetically!!!! Everything appears to be operational are very light signs of use and age. (See pictures).The lens is in good shape! . The Nikon NIC Multi-Coated optical surfaces of the lens are clean. This is very nice looking gear with beautiful cosmetics and smooth action. There may be some of the usual fine specks of dust in the lens, but not enough to affect the contrast. This presence of internal minor dust is even found in many NEW lenses, as with most used lenses found on eBay. I think you will be very happy with their condition and their dynamic performance!
