These spikes are made from SUS304 stainless steel that has been electropolished and is highly corrosion resistant. These are made to be installed in areas exposed to salt water environments. Each length has multiple oval slots spaced to allow attachment in a variety of different configurations. We recommend using stainless steel fasteners to secure each section with at least 3 screws one on each end and another in the middle. Any qualified contractor or even a good handyman should have no problem installing these beautiful expertly crafted Japanese security/fence spikes. By the way, they are extremely sharp and will definitely deter intruders while still maintaining a clean and discreet look.
