Classic blue-eyed, rosy-cheeked china head doll has a headful of tight black waves, soft, hand-sewn body and graceful white porcelain arms with "spoon" - type hands. Her sturdy legs sport stylish, Victorian pointy-toed button- up ankle booties in rich, warm gray.

Rosy-cheeked miss wears a black satin ribbon at her neck, lace-trimmed white pantaloons and a full, white, lace-trimmed drawstring petticoat or underskirt.

Although some of her clothing incorporates machine stitching, the doll itself is obviously hand -stitched, It’s possible the clothing was added later.

Unmarked, Victorian-style doll is in very good vintage condition. She is fresh and clean and her painted-on features are clear and bright. I see no crazing. One of her curls has lost some sheen, and an arm seam could use a few stitches. I find some small ( India ink?) stains at the hem of her petticoat, a small chip on the back of her left leg, and some very minor chipping on her shoes. All issues are documented in the photos.
