The minesweepers of the project 1265 code "Yakhont" (according to the NATO classification - Sonya class minesweeper) - soviet basic minesweepers, actively built in the 1970s, were in service in the Russian fleet, as well as in some post-Soviet and third world countries. The building of the base minesweepers of project 1265 Yakhont was deployed in two shipyards: The construction of the base minesweepers of project 1265 Yakhont was deployed at two shipyards: Avangard (Petrozavodsk), which ships entered the Northern, Baltic, Black Sea fleets and the Caspian Flotilla, and Vladivostok Shipbuilding Plant, from which ships entered only the Pacific Fleet. Currently, the Navy of Russia includes at least 25 basic minesweepers of the project 1265. In total, at the Avangard shipyard for the navy forces of foreign countries (Bulgaria, Vietnam, Cuba, Syria) 13 ships were built in an export version of the project 1265E. The construction period of ships of the project (from the beginning of the building to its service) took about two years. As a result, most of the ships served for at least 20 years: the BT-100 minesweeper served the longest (24 years), and the BT-325 minesweeper served the least. (15 years). Replacements in the fleet to these minesweepers are not expected yet, and the service life of the remaining ships may soon exceed 30 years, which indicates the high potential of the ships and the high class of the project.

 

Two full-fledged models, the Russian and Ukrainian mine-sweepers of project 1265, can be assembled from this magazine. The complexity level of these models is designed for experienced model makers.
