Barbaro's edition "is widely considered to be the most significant Italian edition of the treatise, the illustrations provided by Andrea Palladio, among others, are the most persuasive architecture illustrations associated with the Vituvian text". (Millard). Folio, armorial bookplate of Peter Delme Esq. to the front pastedown. Light, forgiveable soiling at the panels, loss of 40% of the spine's parchment, vellum beneath bright and clean. Decorative mottled edges, all plates crisp and attractive. Very Good.
