Please do not purchase this time if you are not familiar with working with high voltage. It is ac powered and the no load rectified dc operating voltage is just under 200 volts dc. Handled improperly it can be lethal!

This is a single 12DQ6 tube cw transmitter for the 80 and 40 meter ham bands. With more plug-in coils and appropriate crystals it will also work on other bands.

One coil and crystal for both the 80 and 40 meter bands is included with the listing. It will work with the HC49/U QRP crystals, but if you attempt to use the smaller 49/s types you'll get some bad chirp and warble! The latter can only handle up to about one watt. Maybe 2 with careful tuning.

RF power out with this circuit varies from about 4.8 to 6.0 watts RF, depending on crystal activity.

The transmitter employs a Pi-network tank circuit. As you can see in the photos, it was constructed on a durable 3D printed chassis.

Again, please do not purchase this item if you are not experienced in working around exposed high voltage, present inside the chassis. The plate circuit is shunt fed, so there's no high voltage on any of the exterior parts or controls, except for the interior of the 12DQ6 plate cap.

I guarantee this transmitter will work if properly connected to a power source and your properly tuned ham radio antenna.

A hand sketched schematic diagram of the circuit will be provided with your purchase.
