Beautiful
color lithographed fold-out panoramic map of the Alps, painted by
Victor J. Kelley and printed more than 55 years ago. -
This map opens to 19" x 25" and includes
an inset
labeling Alpine divisions. The coverage area extends from the Ligurian
Sea to the Rhine River.

Among the named places and features are Zurich, Hochtor
Tunnel, Stein Pass, St. Moritz, Jungfrau, Chamonix, Matterhorn, Great
St. Bernard Tunnel, Lac Leman, Simplon Pass, Zermatt, Bolzano, and
Davos.

The map was published by the National Geographic Society as a
supplement to the September 1965 National Geographic Magazine.
It is signed by Kelley in the lower right corner.

bright and clean, with no
marks, rips, or tears.

There is a map of Switzerland, Austria, and
northern Italy on the reverse side. This map shows principal airports,
railroads, roads, and canals, on a scale of 21 miles to the inch.
