Celebrated british gothic historical romance novelist and writer of mystery trhrillers and comic strips who wrote under the pseudonym Madeleine Brent.

In 1978, his novel Merlin's Keep won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award at the
British Romantic Fiction Writers Romantic Novelists' Association Awards.

His most famous creation is Modesty Blaise.
