Says radio lab on the transformer

When plugged in and switched on it gives a monochrome colour scale. See pictures 2 (on) and 3 (off)

Due to age and unknown history the plug has been removed and this will be sold for parts or repair, this must be checked over by a qualified electrician before use.

Smell like a school science lab inside the lamp holder.
