This is a hard to find, comic strip character doll, Dick Tracy's (& Tess Trueheart's) baby daughter, "BONNY BRAIDS", circa 1951* by IDEAL. as advertised in the Chicago Tribune, May 21, 1951. Measuring 13" long, with a hard plastic jointed body and swivel vinyl head with open/closed mouth with molded tongue and teeth and big blue sleep eyes, (few missing eye lashes on one eye, eyelid paint is worn) painted blond hair with two original inserted, saran blonde braids at the top of her head. She has swing type (pin-jointed) legs and jointed arms and is marked: Copyright 1952//Ham Fisher/IDEAL DOLL/U.S.A.  She has her original, four-piece wardrobe of adorable, printed flannel pajamas and matching robe as well as two full page, color illustrated newspaper, DICK TRACY comics and a copy of original doll care instructions. She has no damages or repairs, no stains, no fading and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.
