Hardcover with blue buckram boards and gilt titles to spine. Exterior is pristine - boards are smooth and clean. Spine is straight, binding remains tight, hinges and joints are sound, corners are square. 

Save for some light toning to top edge of pages, interior is immaculate. Pages are bright and crisp - unmarred by stains, markings, tears, smudges, or wrinkles. Signed on the half-title by Ray Harryhausen.

Dust jacket has some faint tiny scratches to panel from general shelf wear, though no tears or chips. Jacket is spotless and unclipped, with cover photograph remaining vibrant. 
 
A superb copy overall, stated first edition and first printing.
