Vintage Morton Pottery Rare Red White and Blue Spatterware 12 Panel Nesting Bowl

Vintage Morton Pottery Rare Red White and Blue Spatterware 12 Panel 8" Nesting Bowl. Made by Morton Pottery in IL and was in business making variety of art, household, novelty, and utilitarian pottery from 1922-1976. This bowl has a 12 panel design and tapers in on the bottom to be able to stack. It has the Red, White and Blue Spatterware design. The red, white and blue color combination was short lived as a Morton product so there is not many of these pieces in circulation. This bowl is unsigned but has a piece of tape saying "Morton Pottery, Grandpa Worked There". This bowl is from an estate in Winnetka, IL and my mom bought the whole estate in the 1990's. She has had this bowl ever since.  There were other pieces as well in this estate.

This bowl measures 8" wide and 3 1/2" high and it is in vintage condition. It has heavy crazing, some small surface cracks and some discoloration. Please see all pictures for condition. With all its faults, this is a really special piece from an employee's collection and I have never seen this glaze on a bowl shape with 12 panels. Please note this is a very heavy piece. Would make a wonderful addition on any pottery collection or for anyone who collects Morton Pottery.
