Lets get the weird bit over with first.  This game is in the wrong box.  It is in a Zork 1 box with a Deadline cover glued onto it. The is a long story involved in this and the logic of a 9 year old, and if it were a more interesting story I'd tell it now...

Anyway, this listing includes a Zork 1 box with a Deadline front cover on it, a Deadline rear cover separate,  a Deadline manual, a photocopied map, a Deadline floppy disk for c64 and a commodore damage disk exchange form.

The game was last played in 2013 and has been stored properly since then.

Deadline is an interactive fiction detective video game published by Infocom in 1982. Written by Marc Blank, it was Infocom's third game. It was released for the Amstrad CPC, Apple II, Atari 8-bit family, Commodore 64, IBM PC (as a self-booting disk), Osborne 1, TRS-80, and later for the Amiga and Atari ST.

Deadline was Infocom's first mystery game and their first non-Zork game. The number of NPCs, the independence of their behavior from the player's actions, and the parser's complexity were considered revolutionary at the time of the game's release.
