The new fx-82L differs from the earlier fx-82D onlyin a new bigger display. Until now, this version was became the de-facto standard for displaying digits used in wide range of electronic appliances. Thenext model was the fx-82LB announced in 1992 with a new folding hard coverinstead of a pouch.
