September 1945 World War 2 era letter from the Great Northern Railway Chief of Special Police M.J. Wegener, in St. Paul Minnesota.  It is addressed to F.F. Phillips, Superintendent of Special Service (railroad police) for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Railway at Los Angeles California. The letter is signed by Chief Special Agent M.J. Wegener.
The Great Northern RR was looking for a former employee who had quit and gone back to work for former employer Atchison, Topeka & Santa Railway.  Maury Hearne was a brakeman for the GN on the Spokane Division in Seattle Washington.  He went to work for the Santa Fe at Needles California, as a brakeman.  The Special Agent wanted to collect money owed for a railroad brakeman's uniform.
