It is a unique heavy mass ligature that uses a minimal contact point design to allow the reed to vibrate as freely as possible. Self-locking CNC machined taper touches on three points only; the left and right side of the reed, and on top of the mouthpiece. There are no moving or added parts, further increasing the efficiency of vibration. This allows the most freedom and vibration of the reed, which in turn also increases the amount of harmonics present in the sound. Allowing for a full tone rich with high, mid and low frequencies.
The best
saxophone ligatures allow the reed the most freedom to vibrate. The more
vibration there is from the reed, the more harmonics will be present in the
