So what is so "special" about Tobin Frailey? Well during a large part of the 1980s and into the 1990s Tobin Frailey was THE premier authority on carousel animals. While others created carousel animals, Tobin's reproductions were historically accurate. The "inside" of the animal on a carousel was not as ornate as the outside view. Tobin's carousel animals reflect this.
On this first of a series the white horse has his head bowed, legs bent and long tail. The left side (facing the horse) shows a red saddle with red, green and gold trapping and accents, the other side although similar lacks most of the detail that the left side has. A large red bow is shown on the left side, green holly in his bridle and embellishment on his tack just to name a few. You may hang this ornament on your Christmas tree, but don't hide it away afterward! Place the bottom of the carousel pole into the dated brass base and place it where you can enjoy it all year long.
