This badge, known as the "Lenin Verification" badge, was awarded to all members of the Komsomol in 1980 to commemorate 110 years of the birth of Lenin. The Komsomol (VLKSM) is an acronym given to the All Union Leninist Young Communist League, and existed as the youth wing of the Bolsheviks from 1918-1922 and then the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1922-1991. 0.875" x 1" and enameled on gold metal.
