Up for sale is a copy of "Negro Education, Jamaica."  Published February 7, 1838. Ordered by the House of Commons.   Very scarce.  Interesting detail of British education strategy in the early 1800s as it pertained to Black residents of it's island territories.   C.J. Latrobe is the author of the report.

Oversized, small folio pages.  The document measures approximately 13 x 8.5 inches. 96 pages complete.  Originally tied together by string which is gone so all pages are loose. G+ overall condition. Staining upper right on first few pages (see photo), browning to pages,  chips along sides, aging and other small dings. Still, nice condition given the softcover binding and age.
