You are bidding on: Vintage Cast iron sauce pan with lid from the 1950-60s, made by DRU Netherlands. Very Mid-century modern (MCM), classic piece of cookware. Very old and pretty rare. A great complement to your Le Creuset and Dansk enamel cookware!

Wear marks in the enamel on lid (not visible when lid is on), plus spoon marks from cooking, from normal use. Vintage item, sold as is, see photos for details. Stored in smoke free home.

For use on gas or electric stovetop. Lid has integral knob handle. Handle is integral to pot and hollow. DRU Label printed on bottom of pot in blue and numbers incised into the iron. Label also printed inside lid.


Approximately 7 “ in diameter, 3 1/4” high without lid, holds six cups liquid to brim (48 ounces). Heavyweight cast iron weighs approximately 3 lbs, 2 ounces empty.


DRU Holland (Netherlands):


Made 1930s to 1960s. DRU stands for Diepenbrock & Reigers of Ulft, a town in the Netherlands. Pieces distributed as premiums in grocery stores in the 1950s. Most often enameled in pastel colors with contrasting trim, and adorned with depictions of tulips or other flowers or graphics, and several solid colors.
