Of generous size, this antique, 19th century Anglo Indian desk box was crafted with a hipped lid with a swing bail, that opens to an interior with a lift-out upper tray that is fitted with small, box compartments. With a decorative hasp for the lock, the piece is further enhanced by beaded detail around the lid and bottom of the box. These pieces offer many creative uses. Displaying an old, untouched patina, it would also polish nicely.
