I have thrown in a black toile ribbon necklace which is not sterling, yet it goes great with the pendant, and it helps me to take better pictures (grin): Measurements:  16-18” long, Weight: 2 grams, Metal: silver plated, Hallmark: none

I love these Peruvian pendants created with different stones and shells like mother of pearl, abalone shell, and many colors of spiny oyster plus lapis, onyx and coral.  Here we have a penguin created with lapis (or sodalite), green Chrysocolla, red coral and black onyx.  If you have been looking for a Peruvian pendant, this is a great one!

 

The pendant is not marked Peru or shows an artist hallmark. This is mostly due to the fact early Peruvian vintage pieces are just marked 950.  Also, this mosaic design comes mostly from Peru, so that’s where I believe this pendant comes from.

 

Since the pendant was a preowned item, I cleaned it with an electromagnetic cleaner with sanitizer so it’s ready to wear…yay clap clap clap!!!! Also, the pendant is a vintage piece with minor scratches and a bit of patina too!
