Poppy Medal Framing offer a replica copy full size WW1 18 Pounder Shell-of semi hollow construction and moulded from an original-difficult to mould and difficult to paint up!
Resin being a very expensive material for large objects we decided to construct as a semi hollow shell which does give benefits in weight for shipping.
The shell is hand painted and takes repeated painting to cover resin and they are by no means perfectly painted but they appear as an origjnal shell would.The body is no matter how hard we try to mould it slightly flatter on one side but is not discernible when on display.
Complete with square display plinth-the shell is not attached to the plinth(subject to supply may be similar but different wood/finish)
