This is a Replica Jaques & Son 19th Century Automatic Writing Planchette. Handmade from ¼ inch Cherry or Walnut. This planchette has brass swivels with porcelain wheels.

Slip a pencil into the planchette, tighten the set screw, place the planchette on paper, gently rest fingers on the planchette and ask questions as you would in a Ouija session and see what comes up.
