A very rare opportunity to own an exhibition programme / catalogue for ‘Casting Seeds’ hand signed by late designer Jamie Reid.

Jamie Reid was an English visual artist and anarchist. Reid's work, featuring letters cut from newspaper headlines in the style of a ransom note, came close to defining the image of punk rock, particularly in the UK.

‘Casting Seeds’ was a unique exhibition at Liverpool’s Florence Institute to coincide with the 40th anniversary of punk. It featured work from throughout the artist’s career and will include his original Sex Pistols mural flown in especially from Milan for the occasion. Other works have travelled from Germany and Brighton and will be a unique showcase of the artist’s career.

The exhibitions aim was to connect communities across the city with the Florrie through art and culture. Jamie wanted communities to come together for the exhibition and participate in “Casting Seeds, the Liverpool Perennial” as a lasting mark on the city to embed the connections. This activity saw 10,000 seed cards distributed to carpet grot spots in the communities with wild flowers and use art as a tool to change the environment.

His best known works include the Sex Pistols album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols and the singles "Anarchy in the UK", "God Save the Queen" (based on a Cecil Beaton photograph of Queen Elizabeth II, with an added safety pin through her nose and swastikas in her eyes, described by Sean O'Hagan of The Observer as "the single most iconic image of the punk era"
