Gilt bronze, size 10 ¼ with 2.0mm rounded face band flaring slightly to the trefoil shoulders. Inverted truncated conical bezel deeply incised with the star and crescent. That motif originated in Constantinople and later became the icon of the Ottoman Empire. Constantinople was taken by the Turks in 1453 and became the capitol.
