Pure copper is a rose-red metal with a purple color after

the formation of copper oxide film on the surface, so industrial pure

copper is often called purple copper or electrolytic copper. Fire refining can

yield 99-99.9% pure copper, and electrolysis can make the copper purity reach 99.95-99.99%.

The density is 8-9g/cm3, melting point 1083°C. Pure copper has good electrical conductivity,

and is used in large quantities in the manufacture of wires, cables, brushes, etc.; good thermal conductivity,

and is often used in the manufacture of magnetic instruments and meters that must prevent magnetic interference,

such as compasses, aviation instruments, etc.; good plasticity, easy hot pressing and cold pressure processing, and can be made into tubes,
