This is a green, brown/black, and white covered jar by Ziegler Schaffhausen, a Swiss studio pottery company, that hails from the mid 20th century, most likely the 1950's. It features three fish around the circumference of the jar with bubbles, and also bubbles on the top.

The Ziegler ceramics factory was founded in 1828 in Shaffhausen Switzerland. Production ceased in 1973.

This jar is 6 1/2" tall to the tip of the pull on the jar. It is 5" up to the rim. At its widest point it is 5 1/2" across.

The bottom is marked Ziegler Schaffhausen 1674 Made In Switzerland Handpainted.

The jar and cover are in wonderful shape. No chips or cracks, and the design is in great shape. The white pull top is clean and without significant marks. The base had a felt bottom attached. I put that into the inside of the jar, if the buyer wishes to re-attach. There is still some glue remaining underneath from the felt application. There is a tiny fleabite mark on the inside rim, and also marks around the inside of the lid of some kind of glue similar to the one used on the bottom.
