This is the perhaps the most famous image in baseball history.
It was taken by Charles Conlon in 1910 of Ty Cobb sliding into third base.

"Ty Cobb" on back (note, this is NOT Cobb's signature).  The photo is 8 x 10 and presents well.  It is clean and clearer than many later prints that are seen in the market. An affordable version of this iconic photo authenticated by PSA

On December 6, 2020, an extremely rare vintage photograph showing baseball great Ty Cobb stealing third base sold for an astounding $390,000 via Robert Edward Auctions (REA). Over a 17-day period, 52 bids were placed on the photo, which was taken by renowned sports photographer Charles Conlon on July 23, 1910, during a game between Cobb’s Detroit Tigers and the-then New York Highlanders, precursors to the Yankees. It shows Cobb sliding in hard against New York third baseman Jimmy Austin, who was covering on the play. The new auction price realized beat the previous $250,000 sale of the famous Cobb photo – albeit an example in lesser condition – that was conducted privately in 2019. To date, only these two Types 1 examples of the celebrated Cobb “sliding into third base” photo have surfaced.
