This is a great NEC Powermate 386 16 MHz computer.
It appears to have been assembled in 1991.
- 386 16MHz
- Front mount keyboard and mouse ports
- VGA onboard graphics
- 8 MB of ram
- 4 ISA ports
- 116 MB hard drive (working and tested)
- Slimline 3.5 inch floppy drive, it may have failed I have had no luck making it work. I am leaving it because it is not a common style, you may replace it as you like, or add additional drives.
I had formerly listed this as having a dead Bios Battery, The battery has been replaced. On startup it will still prompt you to enter setup, (floppy drive issue maybe?) but it retains the hard drive info, as well as the date and time. if you press F1 to bypass setup it starts right up to dos.
