Rise MP6 266 Mhz CPU Kirin for Socket 7 mainboards

This CPU is a very rare Rise MP6 266 Mhz CPU which was one of the competitors of Intel and AMD back in 1998. It was designed to be a low cost yet high performace multi media CPU which has good FPU performance and can outperform an Intel P200MMX. While the CPU only uses about 9 watts of power it can be used with passive cooling on almost any Socket 7 and SuperSocket 7 mainboard.

We tested it on different Socket 7 mainboards and recommend to use a mainboard with a large L2 cache.

We have several of these CPUs and they are new, unused in box
new old stock (NOS)

These CPUs are very rare today and only about  100pcs are still around.
Yet, they fit on almost any decent Socket 7 or SuperSocket 7 mainboard and work just fine. A must have if you want to embrace the different CPU choices one had back in the day.
Please don´t be offended by the price we request for this one. We kept it in pristine condition for over 20 years and with only about 100pcs. still in existance worldwide, this is indeed a very rare part of history.

Selling a few of them helps us to maintain our collection of historic CPUs and teach interested minds about the beginnings of the modern computer age.
