Note: The original battery for these watches (CR 23-P-15) are no longer produced. Common modern 3V batteries work perfectly fine with some accommodations. Some owners modify the watch retainer rings. This one is unmodified; instead, a conductive spacer is used. A supplementary spring (not permanent) is placed between the battery and case back to restrict movement of the battery (a common CR2325 cell.) This ensures that the watch remains 100% original while using a readily-available battery.
