Manuel Reyes (1934-2014) ist zweifellos der berühmteste Flamenco-Gitarrenbauer in Spanien zum Zeitpunkt seines Todes. Manuels Ansehen war so groß, dass Luis F. Leal Pinar ihm ein ganzes Kapitel in "Guitarreros de Andalucia" (2004) widmete.
Manuel stellte nur etwa 20 Gitarren pro Jahr her. Die Nachfrage nach seinen Flamencogitarren war so groß und die Warteliste so lang, dass er vor mehr als 20 Jahren keine neuen Aufträge mehr annahm.
Seit seinem Tod ist die Nachfrage nach seinen Gitarren nur noch gestiegen. Es ist eine seltene Gelegenheit, eine seiner Gitarren zu bekommen.
Diese Manuel Reyes hat den besten Flamenco-Sound, den man sich vorstellen kann. Sie produziert scharfe, perkussive rasqueado, kann auch süß spielen, und hat ein kehliges Knurren, wenn gewünscht.

Die Gitarre ist perfekt eingestellt, mit einer niedrigen Saitenlage und einem geraden Hals.
Die Sattelbreite beträgt 54 mm und die Mensur 655 mm. Die Decke ist aus feiner Alpenfichte und der Boden und die Zargen sind aus Zypresse. Sie hat die originale Lackierung.
Die Gitarre war Teil einer Sammlung und ist in einem sehr schönen Vintage-Zustand.

Manuel Reyes (1934-2014) is doubtlessly the most famous flamenco guitar maker in Spain at the time of his death. Manuel’s stature was such that Luis F. Leal Pinar devoted an entire chapter in “Guitarreros de Andalucia” (2004) to him.
Manuel made only about 20 guitars a year. His flamenco guitars were in such demand, and his waiting list was so long, that he stopped taking new orders more than 20 years ago.
Since his death, the demand for his guitar has only increased. It is a rare opportunity to get one of his guitars.
This Manuel Reyes has the best flamenco sound you can imagine. It produces sharp snappy percussive rasqueado, can play sweetly too, and has a throaty growl when desired.

The flamenco guitar is perfectly adjusted, with a low action and a straight neck.
The nut width is 54 mm and the scale length is 655 mm. The top is of fine alpine spruce and the back and sides are of cypress. It has the original frensh polish finish.
The guitar has ben par of a collection and is in extremly nice vintage condition.
