A synopsis: The Polish II Corps, 1943–1947, a major tactical and operational unit of the Polish Armed Forces in the West during World War II. It was commanded by Lieutenant General Władysław Anders and fought with distinction in the Italian Campaign, in particular at the Battle of Monte Cassino, in May 1944, the Battle of Ancona during Operation Olive (the fighting on the Gothic Line in September 1944) and the Battle of Bologna during the final offensive in Italy in March 1945. By the end of 1945, the corps had grown to well over 100,000 soldiers and one giant brown bear... Great reference book for all WW2 military collectors, this volume contains interesting pieces of information about 2nd Polish Corps from the beginning from the Soviet Union period to to the end of WW II and after, this volume shows unique photos, documents, equipment, badges, uniforms, stripes, medals and many more. In my opinion - just the best book in the subject.
