Description:

With the increasing demand for night combat, the intensity and frequency of night vision devices used by special operations personnel are increasing. This puts forward higher requirements for the endurance of night vision devices: they need to meet at least 3-5 consecutive working hours at night. Therefore, the most reliable solution currently is to use an external battery pack to expand the power supply of components such as night vision devices and thermal imaging functions. After using the USBP battery pack with 4 AA batteries, the night vision system can achieve a range of over 50 hours, which is N times the power supply scheme of using a single AA battery in the aircraft storage space. The battery pack can also be quickly fitted and installed on the helmet as a counterweight at the back of the helmet, and provides other extended functions, such as infrared identification of friend or foe, wireless interconnection data transmission, etc.
The universal infrared stroboscopic battery pack can provide external power for night vision devices with external power interfaces (which need to be matched with corresponding power connection cables). At the same time, through ergonomic optimization, the battery pack can be configured at the back of the helmet to serve as an effective counterweight, effectively adjusting the center of gravity and balance of the helmet system, greatly reducing neck fatigue caused by continuous combat among commanders and soldiers. In addition, the battery pack has the IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) infrared strobe recognition light function, which can effectively solve the pain points of difficult identification and search and rescue in nighttime combat environments. The USBP universal infrared strobe battery pack can be used separately as a helmet identification light.
The basic set of USBP universal infrared strobe battery box launched this time includes the battery box body and standard power cord. The standard power cord uses the same aviation connector interface as the FISHER specification, used to match night vision devices such as BNVD1431, BNVD31, ANPVS31, GPNVG18, PSQ36, etc. that use the FISHER specification power interface. Afterwards, we will gradually introduce three other different adaptive power cords that will be sold separately as accessories for battery packs in the future, for connecting to other devices. For example, ANVIS power cord/BNVD-COTI power cord/PVS14 external power cord, etc. With different matching connecting cables, it can be compatible with all night vision devices currently on the market with external power interfaces. Currently, mainstream night vision and thermal imaging devices such as BNVD-31, BNVD-1431, AN/PVS-31, GPNVG-18, NNVT-1608, F5032, AB RNVG, ANVIS-9, ANVIS-6, ANVIS-10, AN/PSQ-36 have been tested.
The shell structure of this USBP universal infrared strobe battery box adopts a sandwich insulation design and uses special materials, which can maintain a relatively constant and gentle internal environmental temperature and temperature changes for the battery and circuit board in the compartment (with the same low-temperature power supply performance as the L3HARRIS CWBP battery box), even in extremely low external environmental temperatures, It is also possible to achieve thermal insulation in the battery compartment by utilizing the slight temperature rise generated by the battery and circuit board during operation, maximizing battery activity and effectively extending the battery discharge cycle. The USBP battery box shell adopts a sealed design, with 2 waterproof rubber rings at the top and a sealing process at the bottom, meeting the IP67 shell protection level, dustproof and waterproof, ensuring reliability. The top knob has added an anti slip pattern design, making it more comfortable to disassemble the battery box without slipping your hands when wearing gloves.
The main shell material adopts a special black composite material (composed of non-metallic and metallic materials), which has high strength, flame retardancy, high temperature resistance, electromagnetic interference resistance, and other characteristics. The main shell can withstand a high temperature of 280 degrees without deformation. The overall surface of the shell is matte treated to avoid reflective exposure of its own targets. The battery box mold adopts high-precision molds, and the overall part tolerance is controlled within 0.05 millimeters.
The front of the shell is engraved with a battery electrode orientation label, indicating the installation direction of the battery. The back of the shell is factory equipped with a set of 3M helmet Velcro (hook face and fur face) for use with the helmet. The left and right baffles of the bottom switch of the shell adopt an asymmetric design, which is convenient for users to operate blindly when the battery box is installed at the back of the helmet.
In terms of batteries, the USBP universal infrared stroboscopic battery box uses a No. 5 AA battery, which is highly versatile and easy to obtain. The battery installation direction follows military regulations and standards: when placing the battery, all positive electrodes face outward to avoid reverse installation of the battery. The battery compartment adopts a dual parallel and dual series structure: the dual battery positions on one side are connected in parallel, and the two sets of battery positions on both sides are connected in series through internal circuits. The battery can also be flexibly configured and practical. Use dual AA batteries with a rated voltage of 1.2V to 1.5V (one on both sides) or four AA batteries with a rated voltage of 3.7V to 4.2V, or use AA lithium batteries with a rated voltage of 3.7V to 4.2V in combination with a single side occupying cylinder and a single side dual battery position, with a total voltage input range of 1.8V to 5.5V. The voltage at the output interface of the battery box decreases according to the total voltage input range and the battery discharge curve. After testing, the USBP universal infrared strobe battery pack can stably power the ARGUS BNVD series night vision instrument for over 50 hours at room temperature.
