Up for sale is a vintage 1955 R.W. Loveless custom maker knife Delaware maid #88 Abercrombie & Fitch NY. Clip point Hunting knife. #88 Special melt Loveless steel blade with top thumb notches measures 4-7/8”. One side of the blade is marked “Delaware maid” No.88. With the rare R.W.L. Initials. Other side marked “Abercrombie & Fitch NY. Which was a sporting good store That Bob Loveless first sold his knives too when he first starting making knives in the 1950’s. Hidden tang construction, overall length 8-7/8”. Brass hilt with Leather stacked handle and large natural fossil spacer. Aluminum butt cap. The craftsmanship feel and balance is incredible. Comes with its original leather sheath in vintage excellent condition for its age. Completely solid. A true masterpiece piece of the American legendary custom knife maker of all time.
