Directions for Use:
Before setting up your lights, please follow these important guidelines:
Ensure all bulbs are firmly pushed into their holders.
Connect one wire to the live terminal and the other to the neutral terminal, but do not connect to the earth terminal.
If connecting differently, install a 3 amp fuse in the plug or at the distribution board.
Bulbs:
This light set is equipped with push-in type bulbs. Under normal conditions, if a bulb fails, the remaining bulbs should stay lit as long as the defective bulb is undamaged and firmly seated in its holder. To prevent overheating, replace a defective bulb with one of the same rated voltage and wattage. Be aware that this set may contain a fuse bulb, identifiable by its white painted tip. Only replace a fuse bulb with another of the same rated voltage and wattage, not a regular (non-fuse) bulb.
To Replace a Bulb:
Disconnect from the mains supply.
Gently pull the bulb from its holder, being careful not to twist or crush it.
Insert the replacement bulb, ensuring the wires make effective contact with the terminals in the bulb holder.
Failure to Light:
Disconnect from the mains supply.
Check the fuse bulb (if fitted) and replace it with a new fuse bulb of the correct rating if necessary.
Inspect the fuse in the main plug.
Ensure each bulb is securely seated in its holder.
Safety Precautions:
Do not operate in a confined space.
These lights are for indoor use only; do not use them outdoors.
Avoid use in moist or humid conditions.
Disconnect from the mains when not in use.
Take care to prevent damage to the wiring insulation.
Keep away from direct heat or flame.
Do not connect to any other light chain.
Ensure adequate airflow around each bulb.
The flexible cable of this lighting chain cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged, dispose of the lighting chain safely.
