Rosalie Goodman Namer (1925-2006) was a Montreal artist and potter. She worked from her studio on the West Island of Montreal through the 1960s and 1970s, teaching at McGill University’s MacDonald College, and mentoring hundreds of student potters. Namer was an expert in experimental glaze chemistry, reproducing many Japanese glaze colours using minerals sourced from across Canada. She was also instrumental in research into lead poisoning.

Her work was exhibited and sold across Canada, the United States, Switzerland, and Japan, and is held in the permanent collections of the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec and the Gardiner Museum in Toronto. This is a lovely example of  Rosalie Namer's work.  Her signature is on the bottom.

The mug is in excellent, seemingly unused, condition however it has a small glaze chip on the rim (last picture).  It stands 5" high, has a top diameter of 3½", and is 4½" across the generous handle. Capacity is 10 oz) and it weighs a solid 500 g (over 1 lb.)

(Note: Shipping will include approx $1 to cover the 10% fee that ebay tacks onto the shipping charge and $3 for packing materials and handling.)

I am listing other items and will combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever appropriate.
