This is an excellent example of John Dunn's lovely raku work, with a bright orange tinged and irridescent crackle glaze on the interior and a subtle patterning on the underside.  John Dunn achieves remarkable control in his use of the raku technique.  The bowl is signed on the underside in gilt by the potter.

Born in 1944, John Dunn is based in Brighton, Sussex. He specialises in coiled and press moulded raku pieces and glass.
