It was introduced by the Bank of Russia in 2011. It has violet and blue color scheme and measures 150 mm long and 65 mm wide. Its obverse side contains the bank seal, Mark Antokolski’s statue of Peter the Great in Taganrog, and a sailing ship in the port of Arkhangelsk. Its reverse side shows the Solovetsky Monastery on the Solovetsky Islands in the White Sea. Security features include a winged windowed security thread with demetalized 500 and a watermark of Peter the Great with an electrotype 500.
