Dust Jacket: Worn to edges. Tear to top edge of rear cover with slight glue residue. Unclipped. Preserved in a removable jacket protector. Overall Condition is Good

Book: First printing. Brown paper covered boards. A little light foxing to page edges. Clean text throughout. Inscribed and signed by the author to front free endpaper: 'For M.W. Nobes, Remembering his great kindness towards my German P.O.W.'s in Camp 18 during 1947-1948, showing, too, his humanity when humanity was rare. H. Sulzbach 31-8-73 (25 years after!)' Tipped-in to the front pastedown endpaper are two related newspaper clippings plus a letter from Sulzbach to Nobes on German Embassy headed notepaper. The letter refers to the Featherstone Park Group - A society of former prisoners held at Featherstone Castle prisoner of war camp (Camp 18). The glue used for the letter and clippings has caused a few stains, and also slight marking to the inscription on the facing page. Overall Condition is Very Good
