MR 7 67" circular datestamp at bottom, on cover to Brome Corner (Quebec) Canada (East), next day receiving backstamp, vertical crease and edge faults As noted on the reverse, this is an odd combination to pay the double cross-border rate. Other notes on the back are that it appeared in a Herman "Pat" Herst auction in June 1944 and then in a 1972 Al Zimmerman auction. A google search for Reid D. Paige showed he was an attorney in Burlington VT. It is likely he sent this to his wife while she was visiting family in nearby (70 miles away) Brome Canada. |
