This commemorative medal is dedicated to one of Ukraine’s top universities. The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine is a research institution that focuses on current issues in life and environmental sciences, the use, renewal, and balanced development of the bioresources of land and water ecosystems, the introduction of new environmental, agricultural, and biological technologies, etc.

Obverse: there is the university’s main building; above are Ukraine`s small coat of arms and the legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine); underneath are the mint mark of the NBU Banknote Printing and Minting Works, and 2018, the year of mintage.
