1836 U.S. Stampless folded letter with Trenton Mar 10 N.J. (March - New Jersey) circular dated postmark at lower left --- addressed to Mr. George Sykes, Mount Holly Post Office, New Jersey --- 3rd Mo. 9th 1836 (Month) Aaron P. Wright written on back cover and side flaps --- seal remnant is on the same side as the address --- it appears that the cover was cut across the top front; 

George Sykes was a politician and member of the Democratic Party.  He represented New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District in the US House of Representatives from 1843 to 1845 and then again from 1845 to 1847. Wiki.  

Letter is dated Trenton, March 9, 1836 and begins, "Respected friend, George Sykes, I wrote you some time since in reply to a letter regarding the sale of a farm belonging to the Estate of my Father.  Since which I have been absent from Philadelphia and on my return I enquired at Mr. Henderson's if you had called on the subject.  And understood they had not heard from you."

"I have presumed my letter miscarried as I think I solicited a reply."

"My brother has given Warner to understand that if he remained an advance might be expected in the rent or that the whole or part might be sold."

"While here I have consulted with my brother and am induced to solicit an interview on the subject.  I shall return to Philadelphia in a few days."

"Please address Charley Wright at Kirkbrides - Trenton."  It is signed by AP Wright, Philadelphia with an added postscript about the Mount Holly Post Office.
